Thighs (Page 1 of 3)
There is no doubt about it. Every women and man wants to walk around on a great-looking pair of legs. That means legs that are lean, shapely and powerful looking. Fortunately, great legs are relatively simple to develop. There is no secret – just hard work!
The front thigh consists largely of the quadriceps, four muscles that travel along the front of thigh and end in the kneecap, the rectus femoris and three muscles called the “vasti.” The basic work of the quadriceps or frontal thigh muscles is to extend the leg from a bent position.
The thighs take longer to develop than other muscles because of their size. You should start noticing a real difference within six months. The key is to stay with your program. The good news is that once you have developed great legs, you can maintain shapely legs in just two workouts of 15 minutes each.
Thigh Development Instructions
- In the beginning, do not use full thigh movements. Your large muscles will need time to adapt.
- Use 2-4 timing when performing the exercise movement.
Always use a power cage or a Smith Machine when performing squats.
