Buttocks - Hips (Page 2 of 5)

Exercise Instructions

Standing Hip Hyperextension – Entire Buttock and Hip Area

  • Start by standing with feet in natural comfortable position and lean forward, bending over until your finger touch the floor approximately 2 feet in front of your feet.  
  • Extend your left leg straight back while raising it as high as possible forming a tripod with your right leg and two arms.  
  • Slowly return to starting position and repeat the movement.  
  • Perform the movement for the right leg.  
  • Do not become discouraged if your lose your balance or cannot lift your legs very high, or feel awkward in the beginning.  
  • In time your muscles will become adapted to this exercise.
