Purification Diet (Page 2 of 2)

How often can I repeat the purification diet?

Many dieters, and those with intestinal distress, find it helpful to repeat the purification diet protocol once every month to continue to flush toxins from the body.

3-Day Purification Diet Instructions

  • Drink a warm glass of water with 2 ounces of lemon juice in the morning.
  • Add a tablespoon of honey, if desired.
  • During the day consume as much unsweetened fruit juice, herbal teas, and vegetable broth as you desire, preferably every two to three hours.
  • Drink four to six glasses of water during the day to help flush toxins.
  • Supplement your diet with 1,000 mg of calcium, 500 mg of vitamin C, and 400 IU of vitamin E, plus a daily multi-vitamin.

Eating Suggestions

  • Consume a variety of unsweetened fruit juices. To add variety, you can mix different fruit juices together such as orange juice with cranberry juice.
  • Consume low-sodium vegetable juice. Add hot sauce, if desired.
  • Consume herbal teas. For example, peppermint, rose hips, and chamomile teas taste good and promote the detoxification process.
  • Consume Products made vegetable broth, hot or cold. To prepare vegetable broth follow these instructions:

Choose a variety of vegetables and blend to a liquid in a food blender. Combine vegetables in a cooking pot and add ample water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Strain out all solid food and store liquid in the refrigerator. Do not add salt. You can add hot sauce to vegetable broth, if desired.

Diet Progression

Upon completion of the purification diet, proceed to your regular weight loss diet and follow a formal exercise program.
